Maybe...

Maybe the true of attraction of secularism for some is that it provides a convenient cover when one does not want to be seen as unfair or intolerant.  I mean, for those who actually fear Christianity or are disgusted by it, a cloak of secularist philosophy projects the illusion of wisdom and neutrality whilst suggesting no one of any other persuasion possesses those virtues.
